Seguin Gone, Eriksson In
So, if you follow the Boston Bruins, Im sure you are aware of what happened over this summer. Tyler Seguin, the young bruins hopeful said his good-byes to the great city of Boston after two years of low numbers and acting like a "non-pro" off the ice.A highly respected burins front office decided it was time for him to seek employment else where. What did this office do you ask? Sent Seguin to Dallas in exchange for Stars' superstar Louis Eriksson. If you don't know this guy google him, or youtube him. Eriksson has a promising season with the B's hoping to bring more offensive fire power and plenty of goals.

Batfleck: Why do people hate this?!?!?!
I need to ask this question....Why do people hate the fact that Ben Affleck will be playing 'The Cape Crusader" in the Batman Superman team up? Is it because he was already Dare Devil in Marvel's flop of a movie? If thats the case people should look passed it. What ever the reason is I have to disagree with the public on this one. This guy has won multiple Oscars, has directed award winning movies, and has a comic/super hero background. He said in a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon that he's extremely excited to play the dark knight, and says he ignores most of the back lash that has been going on since the announcement. My opinion, he's the perfect guy for the job and he will deliver a excellent performance in the 2015 release date.
Describing Me
This picture was taken about two summers ago. Guitar in hand and throwing up the "metal horns" is pretty much how my life is. Surrounded by music every day.
Metallica Honors Rivera "Sandman"
The greatest heavy band in the world Metallica honored Mariano Rivera on his last game at Yankee Stadium by playing "enter sandman" which has been his theme song for years.

About Me, and this Blog
So if you are reading this, you have stumbled upon my blog. My name is Brady and the name of my blog is called "The Dark Blog". The name is a spin off title of the Batman trilogies made by Christopher Nolan in the past few years. The name seems to fit the blog due to the dark backgrounds, fonts, and everything else you see. Let me tell you a little about my self. I am 22 years old, and I am a student at Westfield State University. My hobbies include hockey, snowboarding, going to amusement parks, making movies, reading comics, and on the occasion close-up street magic. I also have a band that I have been with for 2 1/2 years now called Lateral Edge. I am the lead singer and love everything about the band. Please feel free to check us out and hit that "like" button on Facebook with the link here (Lateral Edge Band Page).
In this blog, expect to hear everything from music news, movie news, news about the super hero world (yes, I'm a little bit of a nerd) hockey news, updates on amusement parks such as events, new roller coasters, and rides. Basically anything that crosses my mind at any point of the day, expect to read about it. I hope you enjoy the blog and enjoy reading it.

Music, Not Just a Hobby, but a Life Style
My name is Brady, and I am very interested in music, playing
music, writing music, anything that has to do with music. I started really
getting into music specifically rock music when I was about 3-4 years old. My
uncles would always take me for rides in their cars and they would make me
listen to such bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Staind, and Metallica. They used
to say that I would move my head to the beat of the song and try to sing or say
the lyrics as I heard them. From that young of an age I knew that music was
going to play a very important part in my life.
As I got older, my
parents put me in piano lessons, which was a great stepping stone for me. Those
lessons taught me how to read sheet music, how to keep time while playing an
instrument, and it opened a lot of other doors for me. At one point, I think I
was around 9 or 10 I decided to move to guitar since I thought that was the
“cool” thing to do. I never took a guitar lesson in my life, but because of all
the experience I had taking piano, I was able to teach my self how to play and
play all the songs that I once listened to when I was a kid. I also taught my
self to sing and play so I can preform the songs live in front of friends,
family, or strangers depending on who is willing to listen.
Now I am 22 and music
has taken me places where I would never have even thought I would be. I am now
in a band and have been for 2 years now, and we are set to record and release
our first real studio album featuring songs that I have written myself along
with the other guys in the band. Also, we have won competitions for cash money
as high as $2,000 and got to play in front of famous bands from the 90s and
2000s such as Lit and Buckcherry. To me, playing live shows is really amazing.
The energy depending on what type of crowd you get can really impact how you
play and how you feel when you’re up on stage. I really hope I can stay with
music my whole life, not because if I make it I will be making tons of money,
but it has played such an important part in my life and I hope that it stays
that way for years to come.
